Boston Opera House: A Memorable Evening of Theater

Take in a night of fabulous theater in the beautiful Boston Opera House. When the theater was first built in 1928, renowned architect Thomas White Lamb was told to spare no expense, and the result was one of the finest theaters of the age, with an opulent interior, great sight lines, and near perfect acoustics. The Irish Cultural Center Celebrates St. Patty’s Day!

The Irish Cultural Center in Canton on Route 138 will be hosting numerous events in honor of St. Patrick's Day today! All are welcome to attend, rain or shine. The events begin at 10:00 a.m. and will go all day through 11:30 p.m. Only $10 to join in the festivities!

Below is a schedule of events:

10am: serving Irish Breakfast and pints! Breakfast served until noon

12pm: Ireland's national meal of corned beef, cabbage and potatoes. Food is $12 per person.

2pm: Fantastic live Irish music by

5pm: Deer Island Memorial Exhibit in ICC Library

New England Aquarium: Promoting & Protecting the World of the Water

Located in a striking waterfront building, the New England Aquarium showcases more than 8,000 aquatic creatures in colorful and educational exhibits. The central focus is a 4-story, 200,000-gallon glass tank with a Caribbean coral reef display, including a world-class variety of fish, sharks, sea turtles, eels, and stingrays. At its base, the tank stands in a large, square, 150,000 gallon penguin habitat. The penguins live on small islands in the middle of the exhibit, and can be observed from anywhere in the main gallery. Other highlights include exhibits dedicated to local marine life, an IMAX Theatre, numerous family programs, and seasonal whalewatching trips into Boston Harbor. The scoop on admission: Adults $21.95; Children (3-11) $13.95; Senior (60+) $19.95.  Group rates available for groups of 10 or more; IMAX and whalewatch tickets are extra. The Blue Hills Reservation: A Hiker’s Paradise

Located just minutes from the stop and go traffic of downtown Boston, the Blue Hills Reservation offers a lush green sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of urban living. There are over 125 miles of hiking trails alone at this family-friendly destination, with 7,000 acres of greenery open to the public. The Great Blue Hill's summit is at 635 feet, a beautiful way for an experienced hiker to spend the day. But it's not all hiking. Camping reservations can be made at the Appalachian Mountain Club cabins on Ponkapoag Pond. Depending on the season, swimming, skiing, and pond fishing are great choices for activities at the Blue Hills Reservation. Mountain biking is allowed in designated areas, and there are many varieties of wildlife to enjoy while taking in the scenery. There are picnic areas with charcoal grills just waiting for you to finish off your day in the Blue Hills.

New England Aquarium: An Underwater Adventure in Boston
